About your Degree

We offer a The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in both Fine Art and Digital Art.  Fine Art majors at Reinhardt may choose an emphasis area of Drawing & Painting, Sculpture & Ceramics, or Photography.  Digital Art majors will develop a diverse set of skills including print media, web design, and digital imaging and photography.  Both majors will acquire traditional, basic art-making skills that will serve as a foundation to their practice.























Studio Art courses stress concentration and self-discipline leading to eventual self-expression; at the same time they provide an in-depth understanding of art and its traditional and contemporary principles and theories. The program prepares students for graduate work as well as a variety of careers in visual media.


 

About the Department


The Art Department, like Reinhardt University as a whole, is ideally located between the contemporary art scene of the city and the tranquil, mountain setting of North Georgia.  Reinhardt is approximately 45 minutes north of Atlanta and about an equal distance south of Amicalola Falls State Park and the southern end of the Appalachian Trail.
